The end of November was very successful. Huba passed rescue exam and she is now a certified area search and rescue dog level 1 at just only 2 years old.
Huge thanks and congratulations to the Darek (handler) and Huba for their work !!!!

Date with Gustav
On Sunday early morning we went with Hela to her new boy - Gustav. Choosing a male never is easy. There is always a margin of doubt and curiosity if original will be as good as on multimedia.
Fortunately I wasnt disappointed. Gustav is a compact, powerful, harmoniously built dog. I am impressed by his strong personality, sustainability and self-confidence. This is a dog who knows his value. His behaviour towards me was neutral. All attention he turned toward Hela. He didnt discourage by the initial lack of Hela acceptance. His owner said "Gustav never gives up." and it was true.
After a short walk Hala came to the conclusion that Gustav is worthy of acceptance. Date was consumed three times during our three-day stay in Germany.
It remains only to keep fingers crossed, that ultrasound confirmed pregnancy for about a month.

IV Open Obedience Contest in Świebodzice
FH Polish Championship in Kalsk
It was very intensive, happy and interesting weekend.
On Friday,
about four o'clock pm, after work, fast packing the car and trip to
Świebodzice. I reached the place late evening and did a training after 9
pm at the competition hall. Then the hotel, unpacking, walk with the dogs,
supper and finally bed - well after midnight. Unfortunately polish rules prohibit machining a trainings
on competitions ring in the day of competition. Its not comfortable for
competitors. Additional costs, time, unnecessary rush and fatigue. According to
the rule: what does not kill you makes
you stronger ..
And it made
us stronger !! After a
very long waiting time for our turn – we won !!!!
Judged –
very strict, Lukas Jansky (CZ). And we got excellent result – as the only
team in OB2. I am
extremely proud of both of us ( Hela & me ). Both we did good work. We
didn’t avoide some mistakes. This is why I have a double motivation for further
work. On the one hand, the success – first place/ 11 teams, on the other hand, I
know that most of the exercises may look even better. Hela didnt show 100% of
her capabilities so far .
And what is
absolutely super –next year we will compete in OB3 :D !!!!! It was
our second excellent result in OB2 but in Poland we need to get excellent two
times – to be promoted to a higher class.
After
competition in Świebodzice, about 7 pm we went to Kalsk to compete in FH
Polish Championship. Journey
passed quietly, except of the flash of a
speed camera somewhere along the way ....
Competitions
in Kalsk, as usual, was well organized, with very positive atmosphere. The weather
was very good. We competed in Fpr2. In the morning I did short, motivational track
and then I could admire teams in IPO-FH.
The area
for the competition was not easy. The ground
was dry, loamy, with some blades of winter wheat, fairly strong wind. We are
tracking in similar circumstances rarely. I was very curious how my girl will
cope to it.

We competed
as a third team. The first straight was in my opinion the worst. Hela had to use to the ground and the wind
that blew her a little from the path trace. But she was very brave, sniffed
low, slowly and carefully. The first corner she did with a tiny difficulties ,
the second corner she did perfectly. Items she marked beautifully. Our final
result 97 points. Judged Josef Havranek (SK)
I am very
proud of Hela. She is Polish vice-champion in the Fpr2 category. We
lost to the winner only one point.
Im only
regret that we couldn’t compete in Fpr3. Hela was prepared to do it.
Unfortunately the dates of the competitions in Kalsk and Świebdzice was the
same :( Fpr3 was at Saturday, when we
competed in OB2. I hope that we will have a chance to make up for it next year.
Finally, I
want to thank two person.

thanks for the advices, lot of fantastic ideas, creative trainings, huge commitment and
mental help for competition. And above all, for your believe in Hela. See you at
the next seminars.
The second
person is Patrycja Florenko. I did huge step forward in tracking with Hela and
I have now first successes thanks to Patrycja. She gave me a lot of new tips,
valuable advices and motivated me to further work.

Obedience weekend in Czeska Lipa. Czech Republic Belgian and Australian Shepherd Obedience Championship and Collie & Sheltie Obedience Cup.
This two competition in Czech Republic ( day after day ) were the first I have planned for the autumn. It was the great verification of our work, new experience, and check the current level of Hela’s motivation. We competed in Obedience class 2.

Our first and hopefully not last seminar with Marko. We participated only in the defence. I shared the entries equitably to both dogs. Helena was happy and she bit willingly. Marko was prvoking her to larger offensive.
I'm really happy with this start. It was very good and equal, I am most pleased with a sending away into a square, distance control and retrieving. Least of heelwork, because there was a moment that Hela was a little crumbled.
In total, we received 250 points, excellent.
Environment in which we held the competition wasn't the easiest. We practiced in the gym first time. A new for us was creaking floor, a little unstable flooring, people constantly passed through the door, the proximity to the public, etc. But for Hela it wasn't problem :)
Organizers recorded the performances so I'm still waiting for movies, to calmly all analyzed.

On Saturday Hela acquitted super. The only serious mistake she did, she ran into me from the square, before my command and she happily finished the exercise on her own initiative. Well, she wanted good :) but it cost us a lot of lost points.
Rather poor, in my opinion, Hela did the recall with stand, but this exercise is in preparation, and even in training doesn’t work perfectly yet.
With all the other exercises I'm very happy: D Sticks and directed retrieve done surely, beautiful jumping over a hurgle and retreving, stand and sit under march distance control - for 10 points! Very cool, precise heeling with 100-percent concentration. However, the most pleased me commitment of Hela and her stable form during our performance. Our result: 271 points, first place and excellent mark.

In summary, this weekend was very successfull. Both days showed me current form and motivation level of Hela. I know now which exercises are already stable and which are not. What Gave me great satisfaction that Helena generally did exercises as well as in trainings ♥ This is the primary purpose to which I aspire.
I have training plans for the upcoming weeks now. Yesterday was a day of relaxation but today we are back to work with even greater motivation!!!

IPO1 exam - Czech Republic, Lukova
The big day today - Helena passed IPO1 exam, in a very nice style. (A 100 B 87 C 71)

Hela is the first ACD in Poland with the IPO1 training level and so far the only one!
I am extremely proud of Hela. She fought bravely, though big tiredness (she had two intensive training weeks ), heat (34 degrees), on foreign field and with foreign helper.
We started from tracking. She made it fantastic !! Her work did great impression on the judge. She got 100 points! And I got big congratulations :)
Less than two hours later we started part B - obedience. Beginning, in my opinion, was badly. Hela in this hot wether wasn't sufficiently focused. Heeling fell below my expectations. The next exercise - sit on the march - she made at the second command. Fortunately, after this mistake she pulled herself together and the rest exercises she did well. The result of part B - 87 points.
Part C - defense. I couldnt be sure of defence exercises. Hela has a bitework once a month and this is not enough. A lot of elements were done very fast, during the camp, a few days before the exam. She had to overcome many difficulties during this exam, including the hard sleeve, foreign helper, the judge presence in the place, lack of mine support, the heat.
She got 71 points and I'm really proud of her ! It was the second score on defense. More points (90) got only Malinois with handler Dana Řeháková.
Hela's total score is 258 points. It was the best result this day among dogs doing IPO1 exam (one female Malinois and three German Shepherds)

LVT Boccaro
I was waiting impatiently on this camp for over a year. And I'm not disappointed. I met fantastic people and great dogs. I could work with trainers such as Martin Pejša on obedience and Vladimir Košťál on tracking. In defense my dogs did the bitework with Michael Řehák and helped us John Bohm.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere. From the first day of camp, I felt like I knew most of the participants for a long time. A common passion unites people regardless of nationality and age :) I curiously watched Hugo's siblings; at the camp were two of his sisters and brother. Fantastically trained the young dogs from the litter Cherr Miji & Ayko Boccaro.
And now a little about the training.
I heard a lot of nice words about our tracking from Mr. Košťál. I got also some valuable advices but generally I just know that my tracking work with dogs is proper.

I was a little nervous about our obedience training, because I work with other methods than the other participants. What can I say- a huge infuence of our secon disciplines - Obedience is very visible. However, Martin Pejša estimated us very positively. I got also a lot of valuable "ipo" advices. I will use them in further training with Hugo.
And defence.. With Hugo we did basic bitework.
Hela learned the elements whitch I we need for IPO1 exam. had the bar raised above because I wanted to work in the defense of obedience elements necessary for the exam IPO1. For example: search for the helper, call the dog aut of the blind into a basic position, guarding, side - transport.

After six days could have noticed that my dogs are tired. They are not accustomed to such a big frequency of bitework training.
I left the camp with a lot of positive energy and a new baggage of experience. Thank you all my friens for this pleasantly time. I hope we will meet together next year :)

Seminar with Marko Koskensalo
Our first and hopefully not last seminar with Marko. We participated only in the defence. I shared the entries equitably to both dogs. Helena was happy and she bit willingly. Marko was prvoking her to larger offensive.
This helper want to pull aut from the dog as much as possible during defence. But he has also a super sense of dogs characters and ability. Trainings were intense but clear and calm. Professionalism - I like it :)

It was our first start on the tracking competition. Both me and Helena made few mistakes.
But the most important that we gain a new experience :)
On the second day we started in Fpr2, longer and foreign track. Result 87pkt, 4th place. Judge Beata Ryl. Again, a few small mistakes.
But overall I think that this competition was very successful for us.
Two different judges is double the number of valuable comments.
Surely I'll introduce several changes to our training. Most importantly, we return to the regular tracking. In the autumn I plan another competition :)

Branice - one tracking day with Patrycia Florenko
The day after the competition in Świebodzice we started the tracking season. Since December, despite favorable weather, we didn't train.
The fault is on my side;) I changed my job and I have a permanent lack of time :(
The first Hela's track was slightly chaotic, the second was already better. I'm thinking about IPO-FH competition in Kalsk. But is it posible to reactivate Helena in less than 3 weeks?
